Invitation for businesses and investors to attend a conference on investing in Ukraine.

On 12 February 2026, London will host the conference ‘Investing in Ukraine: From Projects to Partnerships’ with the participation of representatives of the Ukrainian and British governments, international financial institutions, investors and businesses. The event is organised by the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine, the KSE Institute and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) with the support of the UK Government.

Purpose of the event – to discuss the economic situation in Ukraine, investment opportunities and practical formats for participation in the recovery. The conference will enhance understanding of the opportunities offered by the Ukrainian market and provide a platform for new partnerships between Ukrainian and British companies and institutions. It will also explain key government policy priorities and analyse progress in privatisation and capital market reforms that are relevant to private and institutional investors. During the discussions, participants will identify key expectations and challenges for UK firms interested in investing in Ukraine.

The programme covers investment trends, project portfolios in strategic sectors of the economy, available financing instruments and risk mitigation, with a focus on the practical experience of Ukrainian and British market participants. Together, the conference sessions will provide a practical platform for informed discussion and long-term investment cooperation between the UK and Ukraine.

• Macroeconomic situation and public policy priorities;

• Privatisation and capital market reforms;

• Investment opportunities in strategic sectors of the economy;

• Financial, insurance and guarantee instruments for operating in wartime conditions;

• Mechanisms for attracting investment through privatisation, public-private partnerships and direct investment.

A separate session will focus on how investment deals are done in Ukraine, using real-life examples, with an emphasis on effective financing tools and risk mitigation. The investment examples will be complemented by an overview of tools developed by the KSE Institute at the request of the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine to assist investors. These include the Catalogue of Investment Projects of Ukraine, the Investment Projects Portal, a handbook on financial instruments, and industry analytics necessary for decision-making.

Outcomes of the event:

• A shared vision of Ukraine’s economic course, policy priorities and capital market reforms;

• Highlighting investment-ready projects in priority sectors of the economy;

• Understanding clear pathways for attracting foreign investors through privatisation, public-private partnerships and private investment;

• Knowledge of financing, insurance and guarantee instruments available for working in a war environment;

Strengthening of partnership relations between the United Kingdom and Ukraine, with further steps towards concrete investment negotiations and agreements.
